SACRAMENTO COUNTY

Golden Harvest Parade and Festival:

The goal of the parade is to invite all communities of the Greater Sacramento area to celebrate PEACE AND HARMONY. The parade is from 11:00 am – 12:30 pm and begins and ends at 9th Street / Capital Mall. The festival is from 10:00 am – 4:30 pm and will be at the west side of the Capitol on 10th Street between L and N Streets.

Autumn Lantern Festival and Night Market:

This two-day event features local food vendors, activities, Silk Lantern display from Hoi An, performances, free lanterns for kids (with registration), and much more. You can now purchase the silk lanterns this year at one of the booths. Families and students can take the Sacramento Regional Transit Lightrail or Bus for a FREE ride to/from the event and get dropped off right at the festival grounds.

Geology Day:

Come on out to Geology Day at the Koobs Nature Area. We offer themed science and art activities for kids, and families can explore our 4.7 acre nature area. The Koobs Nature Area public open days are free to the community.

11th Annual Arts, Crafts, & Artisan Food Fair:

Join us for one of our most beloved community traditions! The 11th Annual Arts, Crafts, & Artisan Food Fair returns to Rusch Park Community Center for a festive day filled with holiday spirit, handcrafted treasures, and local flavor. What to Expect: 50+ Returning and New Vendors, Holiday Music & Festive Vibes, Special Visit from Santa, Free Coffee for Guests, and Raffle Drawings!

Elk Grove Dickens Street Faire:

The annual Dickens Street Faire promises your entire family a delightfully festive experience. Witness Santa’s dramatic rescue by our esteemed fire department. Wander through Old Town, discover local shops, relish live entertainment, explore crafts, vendor booths, and food trucks. The Old Town Plaza will be the center stage for entertainment, free kids’ activities, and professional photo opportunities with Santa. At 5:00 p.m., as the sun sets, stick around for Christmas carols and a story with Mr. and Mrs. Claus. Please join us for the Christmas Tree Lighting at 6:00 p.m. Santa will flip the switch to illuminate the town’s Christmas tree on Walnut Street.

PLACER COUNTY

Holiday Craft Fair:

Get ready for the ultimate holiday shopping experience at our Holiday Craft Fair! With over 100 vendors offering unique and handcrafted items, you can find the perfect holiday gifts while enjoying the festive atmosphere. Free admission and parking.

For the Love of Birds:

A family-friendly, informal event. We look forward to sharing our love of birds with Placer area bird enthusiasts. We will have a brief slideshow with helpful hints about identifying common backyard birds by sight and sound. Also, five-minute detailed “bird talks” about a few birds beloved by our presenters.

Veterans Day Parade:

Parade of Vehicles, Floats, Bands, Animals, and Pedestrians.

EL DORADO COUNTY

2025 Christmas Craft Faire:

Join us for festive fun, unique handmade gifts, and holiday cheer with neighbors and friends. It’s a tradition wrapped in joy!

Third Saturday Art Walk:

Art galleries and merchants on Placerville’s Historic Main Street are open late every third Saturday. Enjoy artist demos, music at the Belltower, wine and drink specials, and more!

Hometown Holiday on Main:

Start the holiday season off with a magical night in downtown Placerville! The Placerville community gathers each year, filling Main Street with family, friends, and neighbors to share the magical moment when we kick off the Holiday Season with the Christmas tree’s lighting. Shops are open late, restaurants are ready to serve you, and entertainment will be on the street. It is a very sweet and simple tradition we hold dear. Come early, parking can be a challenge, but it is so worth it!

SOLANO COUNTY

Veteran’s Day Parade and Commemoration:

The City of Fairfield is planning the 2025 Veterans Day Parade in Downtown Fairfield. This year’s parade theme is “Forever Grateful.”.

Holiday Sewing Fun:

Join the merry sewing club ladies for some holiday fun! Join the sewing club for some fun! We will be making all kinds of things for the holidays such as placemats, pot holders, pillowcases, bags, and more! Supplies provided by the sewing club. Ages 15 and up.

Día de los Muertos:

This community event is open to everyone and invites all to come together in remembrance, reflection, and celebration. What to Expect: Altar Space: Bring a photo* of a loved one to help build our community altar. Candles and marigolds will be provided. Live Entertainment and Vibrant Vendors. Seating: This year, bring your own chairs or blankets.

YOLO COUNTY

8th Annual Winters Salmon Festival:

Family-friendly festival celebrating the return of salmon to Putah Creek in Winters, CA! Enjoy live music, food trucks, games, and more!

Olive Crush Festival:

Join the annual Olive Crush Festival as we celebrate the vibrant olive crush season full of flavor, food, & fun! The event is open to the public and free of charge. The event will include mill tours, olive oil tasting, food trucks, artisan deli, live music, cooking demo and local vendor faire.

Chair Yoga:

Relax and unwind with Chair Yoga, a perfect way to de-stress and stretch out those muscles! Yoga is a fantastic way to build strength, flexibility, and balance. Learn breathing exercises and mindfulness techniques to improve relaxation, reduce stress, increase pain management, and sleep better. Classes are gentle and designed to be accessible for older adults and people with arthritis. We will explore a variety of chair options and props, so everyone can enjoy the practice of yoga.
