Concerts in the Park:
California’s largest, longest-running free music festival is back in downtown Sacramento with another packed lineup featuring Grammy-winning artists, DJs, and Sacramento legends. Flowers Day at the Koobs Nature Area:
May should be beautiful for a public open day at the Koobs Nature Area, hosted by the Kiwanis Club of Carmichael. Come on out to Flowers Day at the Koobs Nature Area. At public open days, we offer themed science and art activities for kids, and families can explore our 4.7-acre nature area. The Koobs Nature Area public open days are free to the community.

Sacramento Snake Festival:
The Sacramento Snake Festival (SnakeFest) celebrates the world’s most interesting and misunderstood animals and showcases the mission and vision of Save The Snakes to the City of Sacramento and surrounding communities. SnakeFest promotes wildlife conservation, environmental stewardship and peaceful coexistence between humans and snakes. SnakeFest is a family-friendly event that includes live snake presentations, kids activities, demonstrations, food and an exploration of the global efforts of Save The Snakes, a nonprofit organization dedicated to snake conservation.

Farm and Tractor Days:
Come have fun on the farm at the 29th annual Farm and Tractor Days. This free interactive event is fun for all ages who live in or long for the country. See displays and demonstrations of vintage tractors, hit-and-miss engines, and other farm equipment! Meet farm animals! Go on a tractor-pulled hay ride! Tour the Dry Creek Ranch House museum! Walk Like a Wild Human:
Over the past centuries of sedentary, industrialized life, people have adopted ways of moving that are not optimal for our health. Lynch Canyon Kite Festival:
Bay breezes, grassy hills, and open fields make for ideal kite-flying conditions at Lynch Canyon. The festival is FREE! Solano County Parks has generously waived the parking fee for this day. WHAT TO BRING: A kite, drinking water, a picnic lunch, protection from sun, wind, fog, and rain, boots or sturdy closed-toe shoes.
